Calf Implants
This is a procedure that is not so frequently requested by patients, but when performed it offers a gratifying result.
The implant itself has the shape of half a cucumber made from Silicon. I always ask my patient to bring pictures of calfs that they like. This may help me in my plan in the operation. The operation it self is very simple under epidural anesthesia. The patient is placed in a supine position, and with a small incision in the back o the knee, you identify the superficial fascia and make a pocket that is limited to the size of the implant. The implant is introduced and the wound is closed. The total time of the operation is 30 to 45 minutes. |
